What a perfect metaphor for Pluto, planet of irreversible change. 2024 is the final year of Pluto’s great transit through Capricorn: The White House sinking into the dirt like a wet Wicked Witch of the West. Patriarchs love a column, don’t they? Gigantic white dicks holding up the roofs of their very important monuments that they build for themselves.
But, Ashley, why are you talking about Pluto? This morning at 6:17 AM Eastern Time, the sun, moon and earth lined up to give us a full moon. But, way off in the distance, also in line with the lunar party, was Pluto, all lurking and shady. I’m sorry Pluto, all powerful and ready to fuck shit up.
This full moon is special for lots of reasons. It’s the second full moon in Capricorn this Cancer Season. We had a full moon at the first degree of Capricorn four weeks ago. It’s as if Luna, herself, were highlighting the very portion of the zodiac that Pluto has been cruising through since 2008. Remember the housing crisis? Pluto destabilizes what was once very secure. Remember our first Black President? That was destabilizing for a lot of folks. How dare a Nigg@ ascend to the highest office of White Amerikkka. How dare he disrupt the fantasy that White Men are to be the top dogs around here until the end of time.
And now we find ourselves at the 29th degree. The final degree of a sign is kind of like a last ditch effort for that energy to assert itself. It goes hard. Capricorn doing too much looks like tradition holding on for tradition’s sake even though it’s obviously not supportive of the greater good. It’s time for the senior white men to go sit down and enjoy some apple sauce. Pickle Ball is that way, gentleman. Go take your rage out on the courts.
So, the full moon at the 29th degree of Capricorn is a Swann Song. Goodnight, White Supremacy, its been……fucking torture. Literally, emotionally, and all the other ways. It’s time for us to wrap our beautiful minds around a new image for America and the world where no one gets colonized or raped or swindled or bamboozled.
Ok, Ash, but what does it mean for me? Capricorn is an energy of mastery. It’s slow to grow but always gets to where it wants to go. So, look back to where you were mid January. We were still in the energy of Happy New Year! You might have made some promises to yourself. What were you thinking about? What did the cards say, if you will? Did you have new desires for your work life? Cap can bring up the big questions: How’s my Career? How’s my family life? Am I being responsible? What am I striving for? It’s all very Daddy. Your inner Daddy is kinda looking at itself wondering if he’s doing enough. It can get very existential very fast.
What do you mean by that?
Well, there is a part of us, me, you…that understands that it doesn’t have to DO anything. BEING is a perfectly acceptable way of expressing the life force within you. Check out the gardens, the new babies, the fuzzy puppies. Just being gorgeous and amazing and spreading love effortlessly. And then the energy of Capricorn get’s flared up inside of us, and we feel like we shoud be doing more. We feel like we need to win at something. Now, there is nothing inherently wrong with that. I mean, that’s growth energy. Capricorn is a cardinal sign, afterall. And Cardinal signs like to iniate and get shit done. Build. Save. Own. Dominate. Just relax, Capricorn. Too much of anything is Too Much. And Late Stage Capitalism is Capricorn running off the rails.
So, at the beginning of the year you may have decided to step your game up in some area of life. The time now is to check in with yourself. How are you doing? How have you matured? Where are you winning? Where are you growing slowly and steadily? Where are you priming yourself for world domination? Oops, there we go again. That’s too much Cap. Where are you growing into a capable leader? One who inspires others and encourages them to climb there own mountains? If you know your Rising Sign, locate it below…this is where you are climbing to new heights. This is where you might feel like the ground is collapsing underneath you. But really, a new foundation is being laid.
Capricorn: Folks are drawn to you. You are just being you and people find that very impressive. You are charming AF, right now, Ms. Goat. Stay humble, my dear. No one likes a bragging pompous Cap. You are more confident than before. It looks good on you.
Aquaurius: Ok, Starchild, you have done deep excavation and shadow work. You know what is playing on the tapes that belong in the trash. It’s time for the final purge. There is no room for spiriutal untruths in your inner landscape. Stay devoted to the Truth of who you are. Fearless. And perfectly in love with all life.
Pisces: You have grown profoundly since 2008 and you couldn’t have done any of it without your peeps. Your social circles were the soil in which you grew. So how can you use the skills you’ve acquired in the last 15 years to lean into leadership in your community? Take leaps. You got this.
Aries: Cardinal signs are in the lunar spotlight right now. You are feeling excitably encouraged to step up at Work or you are are feeling Terrified of the new responsibility. Either way, you are growing. Try to enjoy the burn.
Taurus: You are making some grand literary moves. What are you writing a
book or something? Maybe, writing your thesis? You have so much confidence right now. Jupiter in the first house. Full moon offering an invitation to expand, travel and grow from the 9th. You may be redesigning or somehow upgrading your identity.
Gemini: You’ve discovered some powerful things about yourself these last 15 years. Shed some light into your shadowy parts. You have become masterful at building in collaboration with others. Allow structures and foundations to evolve. Don’t let the discomfort stop you.
Cancer: So much of your development occurs through your partners. Lonliness and Perfect partnership are the extremes. The kinsey scale of romantic satisfaction. Whether freshly boo’d up or mourning the loss of a long term S.O. Remember you can be your own safe harbour.
Leo: You make looking good so easy. How can you bring an air of playfullness to your workday? All work and no play make even the sparkliest Leo Bo. Ring. You are feeling very on the ball, professionally, but, be careful not to get bogged down. Full moon in the sixth house can get a little myopic about systems and routines. Don’t give yourself a stomache ache.
Virgo: You have serious creative power right now. What do you want? Serioiusly. Name it clearly and it’s yours, Virgo. Practice NOT stressing yourself out. Look up. Take a breath, A walk. Practice giving yourself mental breaks and moments of ease. Prioritize fun! Weekly, mandatory fun!!!!
Libra: Continue the excellent work of coming to terms with some heavy emotional truths regarding your past. Try not to throw the walls up. You never have a hard time finding folks to open up to. Challenging family dynamics could use some of your attention. Its time to let go of some stuff.
Scorpio: Your words are powerful now so be clear about your message. What do you want to say? What information do you feel is important to share? This full moon has you standing up in front of important people. What’s the pitch? You’ve got great ideas. Keep mastering your favorite tools for communicating.
Sagittatius: You’ve been scaling up your personal financial situation. You’ve made some positive changes to your foundations. Stay focused on your resources. Set some concrete goals and continue building on the good work you’ve done this past decade. Feel yourself expanding. Don’t eat so much cake.
The moon at the 29th degree of Capricorn is conjunct Pluto, the planet that helps us move from one era to the next. We are deep in the middle of great transition. It’s not supposed to be easy or comfortable. But, trust that you are making progress.
Biden dropped out of the race an hour ago. And that is obviously going to effect what happens in November, when Pluto revisits the 29th degree of Capricorn. Something in all of our lives is coming to an end. Whether you believe it’s Tyranny or Democracy…..We are starting the next great chapter of our story, and it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. It’s not comfortable. Remember when your calves ached when your legs were growing? I believe we’re experiencing an uncomforble growth spurt. Growth, baby. Life and Death. A beautiful cycle that constantly repeats. I believe in onwards and upwards. Continuous (r)evolution.
Let’s keep our eye on the prize and think about what the Pluto transit through Aquarius can do for us. I am imagining great ideas that make it easier for all of us to receive what we need to thrive.
